主催者メッセージ

カーボンフロンティア機構（略称「JCOAL」、2023年4月名称変更）では、通商産業省が1991年に定めた「9月5日石炭の日（クリーン・コール・デー）」のもと、9月2日（月）に第33回クリーン・コール・デー国際会議を、翌9月3日（火）に資源の安定供給と脱炭素化シンポジウム2024を開催致します。また、9月2日（月）夕には、JCOAL意見交換会を同じ会場にて行います。詳細はプログラムをご参照ください。

今回の国際会議では次のコンセプトのもとに議論の展開を図ります。
2023年CO2排出量が世界的に過去最大となった。COP28ではglobal southとglobal northでCNへのアプローチの考え方に差があることが顕在化した。このような状況下においても、我々はゼロエミッションを目指した実行可能な脱炭素化を進めていく必要がある。

多くの国内外の皆様方のご参加をお待ちしております。

JCOAL’s Message

We, Japan Carbon Frontier Organization (abbr.「JCOAL」, changed name as of April 2023) will hold the 33rd Clean Coal Day International Symposium on Sep. 2 (Mon) and the Energy Security with Decarbonization Symposium 2024 on Sep 3 (Tue) under the slogan of “September 5th/Clean Coal Day in Japan” constructed by former MITI (currently METI) in 1991. We will hold the JCOAL RECEPTION also in the evening of Sep 2 (Mon).
You can see the detailed information in the program follows.

We show our concept of this year’s symposium:
As the global trend towards carbon neutrality (CN) and decarbonization accelerates, differences in perspectives on how to advance carbon neutrality related to coal, including the decarbonization of thermal power generation, are emerging between the Global South, mainly consisting of emerging countries, and the Global North, primarily made up of Western developed countries. Under these circumstances, it is becoming increasingly important to advance feasible decarbonization measures that can be applicable for each country and region.

We look forward to lots of participants globally.
